Role Description 

The Residential Drapery Installer (RDI) is responsible for the efficient and professional installation of drapery and blinds. The ideal candidate has a passion for precision and an eye for detail. An essential member of the Integrity team, the RDI contributes to creating inviting and functional environments for our residential clientele. Under the leadership of the Residential Installation Manager, the RDI meets all standards for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of residential products (e.g., manual shades, horizontal blinds, motorized products, etc.)
• Collaborate with interior designers, project managers, and clients to ensure installations meet design specifications and expectations 
• Accurately measure and assess window dimensions for precise installation
• Safely operate installation tools and equipment, following industry safety guidelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges, providing effective solutions to ensure successful outcomes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, both on-site and within company vehicles
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and management to ensure seamless project execution
• Uphold a high standard of workmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction
• Exemplifying Integrity’s core values (e.g., prompt attendance and communication, excellent time management, taking initiative, professionalism in speech, conduct, and dress, etc.

Key Requirements

• Driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable with heights
• Highly skilled in using power tools
• Able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day at a time; climb ladders or lifts as needed.
• Able to consistently lift and move at least 75 pounds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills
• An eye for detail and organization
• Excellent time management skills
• Dependability and self-motivation

Measurements of Success

The success of the RDI will be indicated by factors such as the following: 

• Quality standards are regularly met and exceeded.
• All safety guidelines are consistently met.
• Tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• All unresolved installation delays or issues are promptly communicated to management.
• Performance feedback from management is readily incorporated.
• There is a positive working relationship between the RIT and customers.
• Management has confidence in sending the RIT independently on an installation.
